Part-Time Jobs In Singapore With The Highest Pay
It is no secret that majority of the part-time jobs locals can find in Singapore are not that glamorous. Working at a fast food chain will only give you between $5 and $6 for every hour of work. This is because the country has no law regarding minimum wage. If you are in need of a part-time job with decent pay then there are a number of top paying ones you can find in Singapore from tutoring at a tuition agency to being a fitness trainer. It does not matter if you are a student or a full time employee looking for a side gig.
- Tourist guide. You might not be aware of it but there are many tourists who will pay hundreds of dollars just to be able to experience Singapore in a hassle free tour. You can work as a freelance tourist guide and charge higher than working under a company. Your work starts when the clients arrive at the airport. You need to pick them and show them a detailed itinerary of what you will be doing and where you will be exploring. In order to start, you must enroll in a course for 6 months to become licensed. The course is given by the Singapore Tourism Board and you must be able to pass the exams before getting your General Tourist Guide License.
- Fitness trainer. If you have the potential to become fitness trainer, all you need is to acquire your Personal Trainer Certification so that you can start accepting clients. The course can last for 3 to 4 weeks provided by the American Council on Exercise. You can charge from $50 to $70 for every hour.
- Private tutor. Tuition agency is not a foreign thing to Singaporeans. In fact, the industry is now worth more than $1 billion in the country. If you are a good tutor with a degree, your hourly rate can be as high as $40 to $50 for teaching students in the secondary level while JC students will be charged a minimum of $60 per hour. If you have been trained by the MOE, you can charge more – around 20 to 30 per cent.
